NBA All-Star Weekend 2012 kicked off on February 24th in Orlando,FL with the always entertaining Celebrity All-Star game. Fans were given the unique opportunity to see their favorite NBA legends, musicians, comedians, reality stars, and even a government official prove that they also have a little game. The Western Conference team was coached by the Oklahoma City Thunder’s two time NBA All-star Kevin Durant. While the Eastern conference team was coached by the Orlando Magic’s six time NBA All-Star Dwight Howard. Despite all the trash talking from the high profile coaches, and the absence of last years MVP Justin Bieber, the celebrities were the main attraction Friday night. No star shined brighter than the vertically challenged comedian Kevin Hart, who guaranteed fans 40 point and 10 rebounds.
Although Kevin Hart fell short of his goal by only scoring 8 point s and six assists, he did thoroughly entertain the crowd which earned him the game’s MVP honors over the game’s surpass standout, Secretary of Education, Arrne Duncan. Duncan finished the game with 17 points, eight rebounds, and 5 assists, leading the Eastern Conference team to a 86-54 victory over the West. The Secretary of Education wore jersey number 26,representing how often (every 26 seconds) an american teenager drops out of high school.
